Effects of Huangjin Yiying decoction on the treatment elderly patients with hypertension

Objective To observe the effect of Huangjin Yiying decoction on the treatment elderly patients with hypertension.Methods 137 elderly patients with hypertension were randomly divided into treatment group(n=69),which were treated by Huangjin Yiyin decoction,and control group(68 cases),which were treated with nifedipine controlled release.Blood pressure,blood lipid,liver and renal function in the two groups were measured before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate was 84.1% and 86.7% in the treatment group and the control group.There was no differences between the two groups(P0.05).There were significant differences between before and after treatment on TC and TG in treatment group(P0.05).There were no significant differences between two groups in liver and renal function before and after treatment.Conclusion Huangjin Yiying decoction has excellent antihypertensive effect without adverse reaction.
