Abstract
An experiment with JinYou No.63 rice seeds was installed to study the effects of La~(3+) soaking on the seed germination and seedling growth of the rice. The results showed that within the range of 120 mgL~(-1),La~(3+) increased the vigor of seed and its proteinase, amylase and lipase activities, and promoted the growth of plant shoot and root. The optimal concentration of La~(3+) was 10 mgL~(-1).When the La~(3+) concentration was higher than 30 mgL~(-1),seed germination and seedling growth were depressed. The effect of lanthanum on root was much more apparent than on shoot, and the sensitivity of enzymes to La~(3+) was in the order of proteinaselipaseamylase.
