Abstract

Objective To study the short-term simvastatin treatment of elderly ischemic attack (TIA), efficacy, provide the basis for clinical treatment. Methods In May 2008~2010 hospital clinic in February of 98 cases over the age of 60 TIA patients were divided into treatment group and control group was given enteric-coated aspirin tablets in the treatment; the treatment group were treated with simvastatin tablets for 4 weeks to a course of treatment. Results After treatment, no seizures, the symptoms improved significantly fewer episodes were better than the control group, the two groups was statistically significant (P0.01).Conclusion Simvastatin treatment of elderly transient ischemic attack effect is significant, worthy of promotion.
