Abstract
The state-owned forest areas play a decisive role in the forestry development of China, and the prosperity of state-owned forest areas can boost the development of China's forestry in a healthy way, otherwise it will hinder the transition of traditional forestry to modern forestry in China.Since the reformation process of state-owned forest areas falls behind the reform of market economy, there exist many serious problems in the state-owned forest areas. In order to promote the reform of state-owned forest areas more effectively, based on the deep investigation of important state-owned forest areas in the northeast China and Inner Mongolia,we should learn to know their real situation and existed problems, sum up the experience, and finally put forward strategic thoughts for the development of the state-owned forest areas.
