Abstract
Objective To assess the clinical effects of esomeprazole or omeprazole on patients with reflux esophagitis(RE). Methods A total of 70 cases consistent with RE diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into 2 groups: 35 cases in the treatment group were administered esomeprazole;and 35 cases in the control group were administered Omeprazole.Effects were valuated by symptoms alleviation and gastroscope observation after 8 weeks treatment respectively. Results After treatment for 8 weeks, symptoms in the treatment group alleviated more significantly than those in the control group(P0.05);The therapeutic effect observed by gastroscope was better than in the treatment group than that in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Esomeprazole is more effective in treating reflux esophagitis(RE) than omeprazole.
