Analysis of lymphocytes subsets before and after chemotherapy in patients with malignant tumors

Objective:To study the change of lymphocyte subsets before and after chemotherapy in malignant tumor. Methods: The Lymphocyte subsets before and after chemotherapy of 100 patients with malignant tumors were detected by flow cytometry . And 30 healthy people were selected as normal control. Results: Before chemotherapy, CD8+ and B cell level in the patients were significantly higher than controls (P0.05). On the contrary, CD3+, CD4+,NK, and CD4+ /CD8+ratio in patients were significantly lower than those in controls (P0.05). After chemotherapy, the value in the patients were not much different from those in controls, while values in the remaining 66 patients were still significantly different from those in controls (P0.05). Conclusion: Cell immunity are impaired in patients with malignant tumors, but the humoral immune function enhanced. After chemotherapy, the value in the patients were not much different from normal, it is coincidence with the progression of disease. lymphocyte subsets analysis is a good value to detect the immune state in patients with malignant tumors.
