My Perspective of Chinese Historiography at the Turn of the Century

This article offers a rational review and interpretation of the history and nature of the development of Chinese historiography in the 20th century as well as important issues of current situation of the Chinese historiography in the 20th century not only in view of the trend and major patterns for the development of Chinese historiography but also from the aspects and levels of basic evaluation. In the meantime, it also provides a insightful forecast and evaluation of the development and trends of Chinese historiography in the 21st century from the perspectives of historical materialism and historiographical innovations as well as talents and academic atmosphere and discipline.
