The Theoretical Study on the Comparison between Chinese and Western Historiography since Reform and Opening-up

Because of the frequent and thorough communication between Chinese and Western cultures and some scholars' and research institutes' efforts,the comparative study of Chinese and Western historiography has been drawing more concern since reform and opening-up.One important focus is put on the different interest between Chinese and Western historiography,which mainly concerns the origins and guiding principles,processes and historians' academic focuses.Another one is about the process and details of Western historiography's spreading to China and Chinese scholars' acceptance and further development,which can be further divided into following aspects.One is the integral study which conducts an integral and thorough investigation on Western historiography's introduction and its influence on China.Another one is special study which puts the focus on the introduction of cultural historiography,positivism,psychological historiography,and their influence on Chinese historiography.The last one is about Western historiography's spreading to China and the modernization of Chinese historiography.
