From Ontological Aesthetics to Existential Aesthetics

Abstract

The diversion from what is beauty? of traditional aesthetics to does beauty exist? plays an important methodological role in the progress of contemporary aesthetics.It is against the entire background of the pattern diversion of western modern and contemporary philosophy that we can understand the true significance of diversion from ontological aesthetics to existential aesthetics.Existential aesthetics regards art or beauty as the appearance of mankind existing,considering that existence of beauty is always attached to that of mankind.Only from the existential point of view can we propose,unfold and solve the problem of how beauty exists.
