Cognitive aesthetics that starts by total negation of beauty and extraordinary exaggeration of the scientific aesthetics falls into the dead end of scientism.Scientism of aesthetics arises by the end of the19 th and the beginning of the 20 th centuries in the west,which embraces empirical,natural aesthetics and analytic philosophy and aesthetics,but contends against metaphysics and essentialism.In fact,scientific aesthetics is quite partial rather than whole of the western aesthetic development,and is bound to fall into paranoid astray.The primary question is to clarify the essence of beauty as humanities or as inter-disciplinary subject.In short,the essence of aesthetics is a philosophical,humanistic,and interdisciplinary issue.
