Discussion on Optimizing and Integrating the Interactions between Urban Transportation and Land Use——Taking Beijing as an Example

The paper analyses that the reason why the current urban transportation and land use is in a state of separation lies in the fact that there are some problems existed in the planning, the mode of land supply, as well as land use. In response to this, the paper offers that coordinated mechanism should be established among the overall urban planning, land use planning and transportation planning; carrying out land reserve and strictly controlling the land; using the land around transport facilities intensively and economically; vigorously promoting public transport to achieve the optional integration between urban transport and land use in Beijing.
