Effect of Heavy Metal Ion on Growth of Isochrysis galbana

Abstract
Using f/2 base media,the effects of different heavy metal ions(Cu2+、Pb2+、Cd2+)on the growth of Isochrysis galbana are studied in the batch culture.The growth curve of Isochrysis galbana are S model;Cu2+ restrains the growth of Isochrysis galbana,and Pb2+ can accelerate its growth.Cd2+ increases alga's growing speed when its concentration is under 3 mg/L,while restrain effect is observed above 3 mg/L.
