Abstract

Effects of Zn2+on growth of Isochrysis galbana and the content of polysaccharide as well as chlorophyll and protein were discussed in this paper. It was shown that the growth of Isochrysis galbana would not be obstructed by Zn2+ of less than 4.0mg/L,but be restrained significantly by Zn2+ of higner than 10.0 mg/L. The content of chlorophyll and polysaccharide in Isochrysis galbana decreased with increasing concentration of Zn2+,while the content of protein increased significantly when Zn2+ increased from 4.0 mg/L to 10.0mg/L.
