Research in the use of currencies in the Northern Wei Dynasty

In the Northern Wei Dynasty commodity exchange was not popular enough,but ‘no exchange between money and commodities’ was not a fact.Actually,there was circulation of metal currency,extensive use of currency in kind—cereals,silks,etc. and animals such as cows and horses also played a part in commodity exchange.The state had a low level in currency management function, but it had some intervention activities.
