The Significance of Target-Text-Reader to Translation From Contrastive Rhetoric Perspective

Translation,as a means of cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communication,is closely related to contrastive rhetoric. It is very necessary to discuss the importance of targettext-reader to translation from contrastive rhetoric. Based on introducing the relation between contrastive rhetoric and translation study,this importance is explored in the context of translation practice. The way of promoting translator's awareness of target-text readers,as well as the strategies of using contrastive rhetoric,is also suggested so as to help translators with their work.
