Effects of "Jianpi Huoxue Decoction" on serum resistin in type 2 diabetic rats of insulin resistance

Objective To observe the effects and mechanism of Jianpi Huoxue Decoction on serum resistin in type 2 diabetic rats of insulin resistance(IR).Methods Type 2 diabetes mellitus of insulin resistance was established by STZ and high fat diet.Sixty male Wistars were randomized into control group,model group and treatment group,and treated with corresponding measures for four weeks.The fasting blood glucose(FBG),fasting insulin(FINS),ISI and serum resistin were detected.Results At pre-administration,compared with the control group,the levels of FBG,FINS and serum resistin were increased significantly in model group and treatment group,and the levels of ISI was decreased significantly,with statistical differences(P0.01),indicating that this model is successful.After administration,compared with model group,the levels of FBG,FINS and serum resistin were decreased,and the levels of ISI was increased in treatment group,with statistical differences(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion Jianpi Huoxue Decoction can reduce serum resistin and improve insulin resistance in type 2 diabetic rats of IR.
