Abstract
Objective:To analyse the distribution and drug resistance of Staphylococcus aureus of The No.1 Hospital Affiliated to Suzhou University. Methods:According to No.1 Hospital Affiliated to Suzhou University from May2005 to May 2007,171 strains of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria were separated by the K- B diffusion method, and according to the 2004 version of the standards for Clinical Laboratory Standards(NCCLS)Committee drug resistance analysis was conducted. Results:Staphylococcus aureus bacteria mainly from ear pus, pus, and sputum specimens, accounted for 91.22%, for the 9 kinds of antibiotics except vancomycin resistant and the resistance showed a trend of increasing year by year. Conclusion:The hospital found no resistance of Staphylococcus aureus to vancomycin. Except for vancomycin. MRSA resistant rate was significantly higher than that of MSSA, showing multiple drug resistance of MRSA and MSSA had sensitivity to most antimicrobial agents.
