Abstract
Supported sodium bisulfate is conveniently prepared and it has some better properties than nonsupported one in catalytic esterification reaction, such as nonhydroscopic property and being easy to conserve and use This catalyst is used to prepare isoamyl butyrate from nbutanoic acid and isoamyl alcohol The optimum conditions were as follows: basing on 02mol nbutanoic acid, molar ratio of isoamyl alcohol to nbutanoic acid was 13, amount of catalyst was 050g, reaction time was 50min On these conditions, the yield of isoamyl butyrate was 9081% The results indicated that this catalyst is one of the most efficient, economic and environmental friendly catalysts
