Abstract

Objective To investigate the quality of the prescriptions, the situation and problem of the antibacterial drugs use in outpatient and emergency departments in a hospital of Hefei City,in order to offer a basis for rational use of drugs. Methods 100 prescriptions were randomly selected from the outpatient and emergency departments every month between June 2010 and March 2011.In all,1 000 prescriptions were collected for prescriptions comments and statistical analysis according to Management Practices of Hospital Prescription Comment(Trial). Results Of the total 1 000 prescriptions, only 38.9% were reasonable, the qualified ratio of electronic prescriptions(63.72%) was significantly higher than the traditional written prescriptions(31.65%),the difference had statistical significance(χ2=75.66,P0.001).Among the irrational prescription, the nonstandard prescriptions accounted for 94.11%.The percentage of antibacterial drugs use was 53.80%,the first three commonly used antibacterial were as follows: cephalosporin(40.07%),quinolones(18.70%) and macrolides(8.18%).Conclusions The qualified ratio of prescriptions is low in the hospital. It is suggested that attention should be paid to the quality of prescriptions, the management of prescriptions and usage of antibacterial drugs should be strengthened.
