Abstract
Objective To have knowledge about the basic status of test anxiety of middle school students so as to provide a basis for proposing countermeasures to prevent the test anxiety of middle school students.Method 461 junior and senior middle school students from two middle schools in Chengdu,Sichuan Province were chosen randomly and they were surveyed with Test Anxiety Scale(TAS).Results Total scores of test anxiety in middle school students were(2.784±0.653);total scores of social derogation,cognitive blocking and anxiety in female students were higher than male students and the differences were statistically significant(p0.05 or p0.01);total scores of body reaction,cognitive blocking and anxiety were all related to grade and the differences were statistically significant(p0.01).Conclusion Middle school students have a medium level of test anxiety;the test anxiety is different among students of different sex and grade.
