Abstract

On the basis of the Hydrodynamic Theory of Traffic Flow, the quasi shock waves(QSWS) models are established to describe the propagation of QSWS at signalized intersection by applying an approximate analysis, substituting the discrete QSWS for the continuous ones.Based on the above, the queuing processes are simulated in details, which makes the simulation changing adaptively with the traffic conditions and the results much closer to the practical traffic flow circumstances.
