Abstract
Endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) are precursor cells of endothelial cells, which participate not only the embryonic vascularization, but also the vascular neogenesis after born and repair process after endothelial injury. Many studys showed that endothelial injury and functional impairment is related to coronary diseases closely.EPC,as a precursor of endothelium proovides a new ideas for the treatment of coronary. This article reviews progresses of EPC in the therapeutic application of coronary disease.
