Abstract
Residues of three organophosphorous pesticides phoxim, methyl parathion and parathion in water were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography with an off-line solid phase extraction(SPE) C18 cartridge. Methanol was used to elute the pesticides from the SPE cartridge. Chromatographic separation was performed in Shim-Pack CLC ODS column(150 mm×4.6 mm id, 5 μm) with an eluent consisting of methanol-water(volume ratio 70∶30) mixture. The eluate was detected by UV detector at 280 nm. This method proved to be stable, reliable and accurate.
