Abstract
In this paper, residues of organophosphorous pesticides parathion-methy was analyzed and separated by high performance liquid chromatography. The analysis conditions were optimized for the extraction, purification and separation of samples.Separation was performed in shim-pack VP-ODS column with an eluent consisting of methanol-water(volume ratio 85:15) mixture. The eluate was detected by UV detector at 265 nm.The experimental data had a good characteristic of linearity in the range of 0-2.0 mg/L,The recovery ration ranged from 99.8% to 110.0%.The method proved to be stable and could be used to analyse parathion-methy in different vegetables.
