Abstract

Objective To understand the compliance and accuracy rate of hand hygiene among healthcare workers of a general hospital in Beijing. Methods Field survey and recording were used to investigate and evaluate hand hygiene of healthcare workers in hospital. Results A total of 490 times of hand hygiene was recorded. Hand hygiene compliance rate was 31. 43%,and accuracy rate of hand hygiene was 95. 45%. The compliance rate of doctors' hand hygiene was 21.43%,that of nurses was 35. 78%,that of paramedical personnel was 30. 43%. The hand hygiene accuracy rate of doctors,nurses and paramedical personnel was 93. 33%,97. 44% and 71. 43% respectively. Conclusion The compliance rate of hospital medical staff is low,and the accuracy rate of hand hygiene is high. The completion of hand hygiene should be improved.
