Application value of intrathoracic indwelling central venous catheter in the treatment of tuberculous pleural effusion

Objective To explore the application value of intrathoracic indwelling central venous catheter in the treatment of tuberculous pleural effusion.Method Total 40 cases of hospitalized patients with tuberculous pleural effusion were divided into the drainage group(n=20) and the fluid drawing group(n=20).Drainage of pleural effusion,pleural effusion discarding time and the degree of pleural thickening were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with the fluid drawing group,the times of puncture was fewer,the duration of drainage was longer,drainage amount of pleural fluid was larger,pleural effusion discarding time was shorter,complications was less and pleural thickening was fewer in the drainage group.Conclusion Intrathoracic indwelling central venous catheter is superior to fluid drawing in the treatment of tuberculous pleural effusion,with the advantages of convenience,safe and reliable effects,is worthy of clinical application.
