Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) on liver function of patients with liver cancer. Methods Eighty patients with liver cancer from Aug 2010 to Oct 2012 were divided and analyzed the change of liver function before and after TACE.Results The indexes of AST,ALT,DBIL and TBIL one day after TACE were obviously higher than before procedure(P0.05).The indexes of ALT,DBIL and TBIL one week after TACE were obviously higher than before(P0.05 ).Child-push grade and score one week before TACE and 4-6 weeks after TACE had no significance(P0.05).The change of liver function was related to number of treatment, cirrhosis and portal vein thrombus(P0.05).Conclusion Most patients of liver cancer has short term Liver function damage, but can recover to the level of TACE before within 30 days.
