Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between expression of cell adhesion molecules E-cad and CD44v6 and lymph node metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Immunohistochemical method(SABC)was used to detect the expression level of the E-cad and CD44v6 in 65 NSCLC tissue specimens. Results In the group with lymph node metastasis and the group without lymph node metastasis, the positive rate of E-cad were 21.1% and 48.1% respectively. There were significant differences(P0.05)of the expression of E-cad between the two groups. In the group with lymph node metastasis and the group without lymph node metastasis, the positive rate of CD44v6 expression were 78.9% and 55.6% respectively, with significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion These results indicate that the E-cad and CD44v6 play an important promoting role in lymph node metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer. The E-cad and CD44v6 may closely relate with the lymph node metastasis, and these genes may detect lymph node metastasis in NSCLC.
