Abstract

In this paper,we improved the key technologies of in vitro propagation for Rieger begonia.The rapid propagation system of tissue culture was established by leaves of sterile seedlings as explants.The results were as follows: the seeds germination rate achieved 72.7% in 1/2MS +3% sucrose medium.The medium of MS+6-BA1.0 mg/L+NAA0.5 mg/L was the most appropriate medium for adventitious buds conduction and the number of adventitious buds reached 10.6/explant;The medium of MS+6-BA0.5 mg / L+NAA0.05 mg/L was the most appropriate medium for rapid propagation and the proliferation factors achieved 6.8 folds higher.The best adventitious rooting medium was 1/2MS+IBA0.2 mg/L+1.5% sucrose.The hardened plantlets of survival rate reached more than 90%.The plantlet plants flowered after transplanting in three months.
