Bibliometrics analysis of papers published by authors of Chengdu Railway Central Hospital during 1989-2006

Objective To evaluate the achievement of specialized technician in a hospital.Methods Based on the data from China National Knowledge Internet,a statistical research was carried out with the method of bibliometrics to analyze the papers of the hospital published in domestic journals during 1989-2006.Results There was a disparity in scientific and technical level between the hospital and other domestic medical organizations.There were not a lot of published papers and fewer papers published in series Chinese journal or core journal.The core authors with high yield and high quality papers had not been developed.Their scientific research strengths were insufficient.Conclusion It is important to strengthen echelon construction and mainstay nurture.Published papers may be regarded as an important index checking their service ability and in their specialized professional title appointment.To carry out ration target management of scientific research can improve science and technology production of specialized technician.
