Abstract
The cyclohexanone is synthesized from cyclohexanol using the movovacant heteropoly tungstates as the catalyst, when tetrabutylammonium bromide as the phase transfer catalyst.A high yield of cyclohexanone was got.The influence of reaction time, reaction temperature, hydrogen peroxide dosage, catalyst dosage and tetrabutlammonium bromide dosage upon the oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone in the presence of the movovacant heteropolytungstate catalyst are investigated. The optimal synthesis conditions are obtained by optimizing the process, the results shows as follows(based on 0.045 mol cyclohexanol):reaction time 4 h,reaction temperature 80 ℃,n(cyclohexanol) ∶n(H2O2)=6.5∶1,the amount of catalyst 0.3 g and the amount of tetrabutlammonium bromide 0.045 g.Under the optimal conditions, the total yield of the final product is above 97%.
