Abstract
Cyclohexanol have been catalytically oxidized to cyclohexanone on a mild condition with Ce(NO 3) 3·6H 2O as catalysts and H 2O 2(30 %) as oxidizing agent and glacial acetic acid as solvents .The effects of temperature ,reaction time, the amount of catalyst and H 2O 2 on the conversion of cyclohexanol have been studied. The result shows that Ce(NO 3) 3·6H 2O can efficiently catalyzed the oxidation of cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone was the only product. The optimization reaction conditions are as follows: reaction temperature 80 ℃, catalyst 0.1 g , mole ratio of H 2O 2 to cyclohexanol 3:1; glacial acetic acid as the solvent and reaction time 10 h.
