Abstract

OBJECTIVE The preventive and therapeutic effects of Hepadif on mice experimental liver fibrosis were studied.METHODS The acute liver and fibroses damaged rat models were established by giving single or multi dose of CCL 4 orally and the liver dysimmunity models were established by giving BCG and LPS intravenously.Rats were divided into Hepadif group and control group and the serum ALT,AST and ALP of the mice were examined. The liver tissues taken from the liver fibrosis mice were committed to pathological examination.RESULTS Using the CCL 4 to damage the liver acutely, the experiment shows that the serum ALT,ALP of the Hepadif 300,100 mg·(kg·d) -1 group were lower than the control one with significant differences( P 0.05 ).In the immune liver damaged mice, the ALT and AST of the Hepadif group were significantly lower than the control one.The ALT and ALP of the Hepadif were lower than the control one in the experimental liver damaged experiment. The severity of liver fibrosis was slight in the Hepadif group in pathological examination.CONCLUSION The preventive and therapeutic effects of Hepadif on chronic liver damage and liver fibrosis are reliable.
