A Study of Urban Public Goods Supply & Demand in Service-oriented Government Construction——Based on Questionnaires Collected in Shenzhen

To achieve balanced supply and demand of public goods is a key to the construction of a service-oriented government.This research showcases public demand and municipal supply of public products in Shenzhen by focusing on their structural characteristics and status quo.Research findings show: residential public demand is transforming from a unitary pattern of survival to a pluralist,coexistent pattern of survival and enjoyment and development.Current municipal supply of public products is highly problematic: low overall level,imbalanced supply structure,unreasonable layout,and absence of human-centered ideas.In the process of constructing a service-oriented government,issues like how to practice humanism in real earnest,how to grasp the inherent law of residential public demand,how to expand the supply scale,and how to optimize the supply structure,constitute top priority on the agenda of the Shenzhen municipal government.
