Study on the effect of the application of dyclonine hydrochloride mucilage as a lubricant on gastrolavage

Objective To explore the efficacy of dyclonine hydrochloride mucilage as a lubricant on gastrolavage. Methods 126 conscious patients in our hospital who took intoxication orally and received gastrolavage were equally randomized into observation group and control group,each of 63 cases. The observation group received 1% hydrochloric acid dyclonine mucilage as lubricant before the gastrolavage,while the control group received paraffin oil as lubricant. The success rate of inserting gastric tube and the adverse reactions such as pain,bucking,nausea and vomiting of 2 groups were compared. Results The success rate of inserting gastric tube of the observation group was 100%,which was higher than 87. 3% of the control group; the degree of comfort( pain,bucking),the adverse reaction of gastrolavage were significantly better in observation group than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion Dyclonine hydrochloride mucilage as lubricant can effectively improve the success rate of inserting gastric tube and patients' tolerance,eliminate the incidence of adverse reaction.
