Abstract
Objective To research the constituents and bioactivity of Isodon japonica. Methods Compounds were separated and purified by silica gel column chromatography and their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. Results Five compounds isolated from the leaves of this plant were identified as (1)alignan(+)--1-hydroxypinoresinol;(2)two triterpenoids 2 α-hydroxy-ursolic acid;(3)hyptadienic acid;(4)a flavonid pedalitin and (5)daucosterol.Conclusion Compound 3 is first time separated from specimen Isodon.Compounds 1,2 and 4 are isolated from Isodon japonica for the first time.
