Abstract

Objective To study the chemical constituents of the leaves of Isodon japonica(Burm f.) Hara. Methods The chemical constituents were separated by repeated silica gel column chromatography and their structures were determined by spectral analyses. Results Twelve compounds were obtained and identified, six being ent-kaurane diterpenoids: Enmein(1),Hebeirubescensin K(2),Oridonin(3),Parvifoline G(4),Maoyecrystal A(5),Maoyecrystal L(6);four triterpenes: 2α-hydroxy-ursolic acid(7),Tormentic acid(8),Hyptadienic(9),2α,3α-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid(10);one flavone: Ladanetin(11);the other one β-daucosterol.Conclusion Compounds 4,8,10 and 11 are isolated from Isodon japonica(Burm f.) Hara for the first time.Compound 11 is obtained from the plant of Isodon for the first time.
