Abstract

Objective To evaluate the methods and results of the transobturator vaginal tape inside-out(TVT-O) for the treatment of female stress incontinence(SUI).Methods The data of 21 cases of female stress urinary incontinence treated by TVT-O procedure from March 2007 to Feb.2009 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The average operating time was 30min(20-40 minutes) and average blood loss was 40mL(20-60mL).An indwelling catheter had been used for 5d because of urinary retention in 1 case. All of the patients were successfully cured and normal voiding without complications was achieved postoperatively with average follow-up of 6 month(3-12 months). Conclusion TVT-O for the treatment of female urinary stress incontinence was simple and effective with fewer complications.
