Abstract

Objective: To explore the clinical effects of transobturator tension-free vaginal tape inside-out(TVT-O) for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 21 patients with simple stress urinary incontinence who were performed TVT-O surgery in our hospital from January 2008 to December 2010 was carried out.The postoperative follow-up time was 3 months to 3 years. Results: The average surgery time was 18.5 min(15-31 min) and the average blood loss was 21 ml(5-50ml).20 patients with stress urinary incontinence were effectively controlled after surgery. One patient had stress urinary incontinence relapse 1 month after surgery. One patient had dual external lateral thigh pain which remitted 3 months later. Conclusion: TVT-O is an effective treatment method for female stress urinary incontinence, because of its small trauma, few complications and fast recovery.Individual surgical failures need further study.
