An In-depth Study of Old Chinese Learning Based on the New Knowledge Acquired——Review of Mr.Wu's A Study of Ouyang Xiu and Mei Yao-chen's Responsory Poems and Their Literary Styles

Based on the old Chinese learning and new theories concerning culturology,poetics,hemeneutics,psychology,sociology and concepts of time and space and by using a case study as beginning,the author analyzes in detail their similarities of their literary works in cultural background,techniques and methods in literary creation and for the first time argues that there exists a poetic school of Ouyang Xiu and Mei Yao-chen during the Northern Song dynasty.Mr.Wu also summarizes systematically their literary features and stages in development.Ouyang Xiu and Mei Yao-chen's influence on poems writing during Song dynasty is also touched on.
