Abstract

Jinyou 1176 (Jin 23A/1176) is a new early indica hybrid rice combination developed by the Xianning Agricultural Research Institute of Hubei Province. It has the characteristics of fine grain quality, high yield, high seed production yield potential and wide adaptability. It was registered and released in Hubei Province in February 2002. Its breeding procedure, characteristics, cultivation and hybrid seed production techniques were introduced in the paper.
