Abstract

Objective To explore whether there is toxicity on skin while using the Kangmeifu burn ointment. Methods Dermal irritation test was conducted in healthy rabbits, acute dermal toxicity test was performed in healthy rabbits too, and acute dermal sensitivity test on good health guinea-pig. Results Kangmeifu burn ointment had no irritation to the integral or damaged skin of rabbit and no hypersensitive effect to the skin of guinea-pig, acute toxicity on the integral or damaged skin of rabbits wasn't observed.Condusion It is safe and nontoxic to use Kangmeifu burn ointment in clinic practice.
