Experimental study on the skin toxicity of sanyuxiaozhong ointment

Abstract
Objective To explore whether there is toxicity on skin while using the sanyuxiaozhong ointment.Methods Dermal irritation test was conducted in healthy rabbits.Acute dermal toxicity test was performed in healthy rat.Acute dermal sensitivity test on good health guinea-pig.Results Sanyuxiaozhong ointment had no irritation to the integral or damaged skin of rabbit.No acute toxicity on the integral or damaged skin of rat was observed,and nohypersensitive effects to the skin of guinea-pig.Conclusion It is safe and nontoxic using sanyuxiaozhong ointment in clinic practice.
