Abstract

In the research of mechanical systems,ADAMS is usually used to deal with the works such as modeling,kinematics analysis,dynamics imitation,optimization and etc,synthetically.But the medium and small corporations think the price of ADAMS is too high.They are eager to look for new tools to replace ADAMS. A CAE module of UG(UG/motion) embedded with ADAMS/Solver has the basic functions of the professional software for dynamic analysis of mechanical system and some special virtues.Through analysing the functions of UG/motion and concluding the basic steps and arithmetic of kinematic analysis of UG/motion,UG/motion's applicability is validated.The arithmetic is a rapid and exact one,because it comes from ADAMS/Solver.Furthermore,an example of kinematic analysis of a certain mechanism exports analysis data in animated cartoon and graph.Because of these reasons,UG/motion can carry out the basic kinematic analysis and replace ADAMS.
