Abstract

Objective To study the effect of different dosage of uricase inhibitor on the serum uric acid of rat.Methods The same dosage of hypoxanthine,different uricase inhibitor are used singly or combined to replicate hyperuricemia model,inspect the uric acid in serum at different periods of time.Results When we combined hypoxanthine(500mg·kg-1) with uricase inhibitor(100mg·kg-1),the uric acid in serum was much higher than control group(P0.01),which could last for 12h.Continuous use of the dosage might maintain the serum uric acid concentration above the saturated in the rat hyperuricemia model.Conclusion Continuous administering 500mg·kg-1 hypoxanthine twice per day via stomach and 100 mg·kg-1 uricase inhibitor intraperitoneally is the appropriate method of replicating continuing rat hyperuricemia model.
