Relationship between lipoprotein(a) and coronary heart disease

Abstract

Objective:To explore the relationship between lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)]and severity of CHD.Method:The 276patients were selected into non-CHD group(n=107),single vessel group(n=66),2 vessel group(n=42),3 vessel group(n=61)after coronary angiography(CAG).Lp(a)was measured before CAG.Result:The levels of Lp(a)in non-CHD,single vessel group,2 vessel group,3 vessel group were(203.1±144.1),(289.4±249.6),(292.4±239.4),(359.3±281.7)mg·L-1.Compared with non-CHD group,the levels of Lp(a)were significantly increased in CHD group(P0.05).The levels of Lp(a)were showed no significantly difference among CHD groups(P0.05).Conclusion:There are associations between elevated Lp(a)and CHD,Lp(a)is a risk factor in CHD.
