Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in non-diabetic coronary heart disease individuals. Methods One hundred and ten cases with non-diabetic coronary heart disease (CHD) including 60 cases with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and 50 cases with stable angina pectoris (SAP), and 50 cases of other diseases except diabetes and coronary heart disease were selected. The plasma levels of HbA1c in all groups were detected and analyzed. Results The level of HbA1c in CHD group was significantly higher than that in control group (P0.05), and level of HbA1c in ACS group was higher than that in SAP group (P0.05). Conclusion HbA1c is a marker of cardiovascular risk.
