Calibration and comparative analysis among different hematology analyzers

Abstract

Objective To improve the accuracy and consistency,we compared the test results from the different blood cell analyzers to explore whether the variance of the results were within the permitted range.Method The one hematology analyzer with best performance was chosen as reference analyzer,anticoagulative fresh whole blood was detected on several hematology analyzers by verification test,then we evaluated test results with the reference provided by SYSMEX company.Results The test results are all in reference limits with good accuracy and consistency except one WBC value of XS-800i.Conclusion When the laboratory has more than one blood cell analyzer,we should regularly perform the verifying test and the calibrating with fresh whole blood to establish calibration and quality control methods of the multiple blood cell analyzers in order to ensure the accuracy of laboratory test results and consistency.
