Abstract

Objective To study the effect of citalopram combined with cognitive therapy in the treatment of post-stroke depression.Method 64 patients with post-stroke depression were randomly divided into research group and controlled group, the research group were treated by citalopram combined with cognitive therapy and the controlled group were treated by citalopram only for 12 weeks. The efficacy was assessed by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD).The side effects were assessed by Treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale(TESS).Results The score of HAMD of the research group were significantly lower than the controlled group, the therapeutic efficacy in the research group was significantly better than that in the controlled group (u=2.10,P0.05).Conclusion Citalopram combined with cognitive therapy has better effect in the treatment of post-stroke depression.
