Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical ei cacy of acupuncture in treating 62 cases of diabetic gastroparesis(DGP). Methods: Sixty-two patients with DGP in the First Ai liated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected. The acupoints that bilateral Neiguan(PC6), Gongsun(SP4), Fenglong(ST40), Zusanli(ST36) and bilateral Tianshu(ST25), Shangwan(RN13), Zhongwan(RN12), Xiawan(RN10) were selected to acupuncture, once a day for 3 courses, 10 days for a course of treatment, with a one day interval between the courses. The classii cation and quantii cation score and the improvement of symptoms were statistically analyzed before the treatment, on the 10 th day and after the treatment. Results: The classii cation and quantii cation scores of symptoms after the treatment were lower than that before the treatment(P0.05). The total ei cacy of symptoms improvement was 90.32%. Conclusion: As a safe and effective therapeutic method, acupuncture can effectively improve the gastrointestinal symptoms of patients with diabetic gastroparesis, which can control blood glucose and improve people's life quality.
